Week 4 - February

The week our website went live

The week our website went live

This week was all about amping up my animation game. I’ve been slowly building confidence with motion design over the past few weeks, but this time I really decided to push it more. I spent a good chunk of my time exploring how movement can bring more life and clarity to branding projects. Some days were just me figuring out tiny transitions or timing tweaks, but even the smallest progress felt satisfying.

We also launched our website this week, which honestly felt like such a full-circle moment for me. The story of the website goes back much before I joined Affogato Brand Design. Back in college, around July last year, Chaittali ma'am reached out to me with a brief — she told me she was starting a new design studio and asked if I’d be interested in designing the website for it. That was the first time I even heard of Affogato, and I still remember how excited and grateful I was to get to work on something that real.

At the time, I wasn’t very confident with website design and definitely had no clue about development, but I wanted to learn and figure it out as I went. That process was filled with a lot of trial and error, and a lot of figuring things out by just doing them. So when the website finally went live this week for the world to see, it felt really special. Something I had started working on as a student now lives as part of my first job — that’s a rare kind of feeling.

Along with the launch, we also started working on a few visual themes to introduce our studio, our work, and what we stand for. It’s been a mix of storytelling, motion, and design — all the things I enjoy the most.

Outside of work, I’ve been sticking to my personal goals too. Playing sports regularly, moving more, and trying to keep some balance between screen time and real time. It’s not perfect, but it’s working.

It’s been a big week — full of learning, doing, and a little bit of looking back at how far things have come.
