Designing, moving, and figuring things out
Designing, moving, and figuring things out

This week, I started working on live client briefs which felt like a big step up. We were designing a website for a luxury Indian spirit brand and I got to go through all the different phases of building a website, from understanding the client’s taste and requirements to creating the full design on Figma. I also prototyped animations so the developers could follow along. It was exciting to take ownership of something real and see it come together bit by bit.
At the same time, we were also trying to manage our personal studio projects. Since we recently started taking on client work, we’ve been figuring out how to still make time to showcase the projects we already have. This week felt a bit heavier with work than usual because we were juggling both client deliverables and studio content and trying to do justice to both.
On the personal side, I finally felt like I was managing my time better. I made more space for hobbies and movement. I played a bunch of sports this week like pickleball, table tennis, and badminton, and even started strength training. It felt good to be active again. I think it helped me stay fresher and more focused during work hours too, which is part of my overall goal of just moving more and staying active.
One thing that really helped me this week was having Chaittali ma'am around. My mentor, teacher, and now boss (feels weird calling her that). She’s been helping me not just with design feedback but also with figuring out how to handle work during heavier weeks while still keeping space for personal time. That balance is something I’m learning slowly and I’m glad I have someone to guide me through it.
