Remote life and motion experiments

Week two (4th week of January) was all about figuring out how to showcase our existing projects in the best way possible. Social media is a strange space, and since the studio has never really put any of its work out there before, it felt like stepping into a whole new world. We spent a lot of time thinking about how to present our work in a way that’s easy to understand and connect with, especially for the kind of audience we want to reach.

My role this week was mainly to come up with ways to show our projects — from generating ideas to planning out a content schedule. It was interesting to think of how branding work, which is usually so detailed and layered, can be broken down and shown on platforms where attention spans are short.

I also dove deep into animation this week. There were a lot of moments where things weren’t working the way I wanted them to, or the output didn’t quite match the vision we had in mind but that’s also what made the process so satisfying. Every obstacle made the end result feel more earned. It was one of those weeks that felt challenging in the best way.

Outside of work, I’ve been trying to adjust to the whole work-from-home life. After a full year of meeting people every day in college, it’s been a big change. I’m still figuring out how to set up my day in a way that works , making sure I stay focused during work hours but also take time for myself after. Some days feel productive, other days are slower, and I think I’m slowly learning that both are okay.

Some stuff I worked on this week: planning content ideas, organizing our project showcase plan, getting into motion design, and just figuring out how to get better at this new rhythm of working from home.
