Week 12 - May
Settled In and Still Excited
This week marked a little milestone, the end of the first few months of working at Affogato. It’s wild how quickly time has flown, but when I look back, I can see just how much I’ve learned and created in this short span. From websites and motion graphics to packaging, merch and brand identities, every week has brought something new and I’ve genuinely loved showing up to work because of that.
Remote work has been an entirely new world for me. It has its own pros and cons. There are days it feels a bit quiet, and others where the flexibility is a total blessing. I’ve learned how to navigate my time, space and energy better through it all. I know I’m still figuring it out, but I’m enjoying the ride.
One of the most special moments this week was being featured on the studio page. It was a photoshoot I’d been keeping hush about, and seeing it finally go live with so many sweet messages from friends and family made me feel really happy and seen.
But beyond the projects and the praise, what’s made this journey truly beautiful are the people. A big shoutout to my dad who has been my biggest support in this work-from-home chapter. From making sure I have water by my table every morning to sharing meals, going on evening walks or just being around, all these little things have made a huge difference.
I’m proud of the work I’ve done and even more grateful for everything outside of work that’s made it possible. Excited to see what unfold in my journey with Affo :))
