Week 11 - May

Slowing down, showing up

This week felt a little different. With everything going on in the country, there was definitely a strange energy in the air — a mix of heaviness and uncertainty. It wasn’t the easiest to stay focused, but we tried to take things as they came.

Some weeks, you just have to go easy on yourself and do what you can.

I spent most of my work time creating illustrations for one of our clients, and also working on a spec project we called Rastro — a liquor brand that felt right in our zone. We explored some fun directions with it, especially with motion graphics and AI. It’s always exciting to see how tech tools can enhance the vision without taking away from the idea itself.

One thing I’m constantly grateful for is the space I work in and the people I work with. My mentor, Chaittali Ma’am, really helped me navigate this week — not just in terms of tasks and deadlines, but just mentally. To have someone who understands when to push and when to pause… it means a lot.

On a lighter note, I also had a photoshoot this week for something I can’t talk about just yet. But I’m super excited about it, and I can’t wait to share when the time comes.

Here’s to riding out the weird weeks and still showing up.
