Week 1 - January
New Beginnings at Affogato Brand Design

The first week of January has been a mix of a lot of new things. I joined Affogato Brand Design, a studio started by my branding teacher from college. She hired me right after college ended, and now it’s just the two of us working together. It’s been a fun shift, moving from being her student to now being part of her team.
In the first week, we started working on building the studio’s online presence and finding ways to showcase all the work that has been done so far. It’s a slow start but a steady one, and it’s nice to see everything slowly coming together.
One small practice we started is sharing our personal and work goals for the quarter, so that we can keep each other accountable.
For me, my work goal is to get better at motion design, and my personal goal is to start playing sports again and stay more active during the week.
January overall has been a month of a lot of changes. Moving to a new city, finishing college, starting my first job, shifting to a remote setup — it has felt like a lot at once. Some days are overwhelming, but most days it just feels like slow, steady progress. It’s the start of something new, and I’m figuring it out one day at a time.
